About Me

Get to know the developer behind the code

👋 Hey, I'm Daniel Chi — a Full Stack Developer with a non-traditional background. I studied gastronomy and worked in the food industry before discovering my passion for building digital experiences in 2021.

Most recently I led the migration of a legacy WordPress platform to a modern Next.js stack at IA Remodeling building a full production system with a multi-step booking funnel, CMS, fraud prevention, and analytics attribution from the ground up. Among other cool projects I got the change to contribute during my time at Global Connect.

Before that I spent nearly 3 years at Q4 Inc. as a Web Developer II, delivering accessible UI solutions across 60+ enterprise client projects.

I'm drawn to semantic HTML, accessibility, and interfaces that feel human. I work primarily with Next.js, TypeScript, React, and PostgreSQL — always focused on performance, WCAG AA compliance, and shipping things that work in production.

I believe in the power of semantic HTML to create accessible foundations, the flexibility of modern CSS to bring designs to life, and the interactivity that JavaScript and React provide to create engaging user interfaces.
